Gospel, Blues & Roots a great success

More than 30 people from in and around Bendigo had a wonderful time singing for their heart and soul at the Long Gully Community Centre.  Ange Mitten led some wonderful songs, such as Yonder Come Day, Oh Freedom, Tuxedo Junction, Sold down the river.  We welcomed a number of people for the first time and it seemed that everyone had a great time.  The fully enclosed playgroup allowed the children to have a sing and a play, while their carers continued to sing and maintain a watchful eye on them.
Ann and I are looking forward to welcoming people back to this venue in a month's time, Saturday 31 August with Songs to warm the winter heart, led by Carl Pannuzzo.  Carl is a very experience singing lead and he is currently the director of Gorgeous Voices.

Songs of Africa - a huge success

More than 30 people almost sang the roof off the hall in at the Old Church on the Hill on May 25.  We sang a wide range of African songs from traditional to anti-apartheid.  The grand finale of "Freedom is coming" has left a beautiful imprint on my mind. A room full of smiling faces and glorious harmonies, with lovely percussion.  Hope you can join us for our next Saturday Sings! - gospel, blues & roots music- July 27th. Our venue will be the Long Gully Community Hall.  Bookings are now open.
